My trip to Spain is in August. Here’s how I’m learning the language:
First I bought and did the Michel Thomas Beginner and Advanced Series. The beginner has to do this! I found it amazing.
Second, I got the entire Pimsleur series and have just finished them.
Third, I went to vocabulix.com every day for like 3 months and memorised every word in their 85 lessons.
Fourth, I’ve been reading Spanish news using www.lingro.com to translate the websites (Lingro.com is a simply amazing website)
Fifth, I bought the Dos Mundos textbook from Betterworld.com for less than $10 and have been studying that a lot.
Sixth, I have been hanging out at www.notesfromspain.com and www.notesfromspain.com/forums. Their free podcasts are awesome and the forum members are friendly
Seventh, Ive been chatting at sharedtalk.com on and off, mainly Latinos there talking in Spanish

Hey I thought about it but it was a little expensive for me given the rest of the $ I had spent!
